Clothing for our trip to Iceland
There are so many things to do when visiting Iceland that you don’t want to miss out by not wearing appropriate clothing.
Trench-coat
If you visit powerful waterfalls such as Skógafoss, Seljalandsfoss or Dettifoss, the mist and steam from them can quickly leave you completely soaked.
Thermal clothing
Thermal underwear, leggings (tights) and T-shirts (tight sweaters), are essential during the winter, as they provide different levels of insulation impossible to achieve otherwise.
Long sleeve shirt
When it comes to covering your torso, don’t forget the obvious pieces of clothing, like T-shirts, long-sleeved shirts, and vests.
Wool socks
There is nothing worse in the world than having cold feet. Wool is the best material for insulating heat, so make sure you bring enough pairs to last you the entire trip.
Hat, Gloves and Scarf
Believe us, they are accessories in Iceland much more than fashion accessories: they are real lifesavers, the difference between being comfortable or suffering.
Swimsuit
You may not be thinking about packing a swimsuit for a winter trip. However, on our tour it will be utility. Our tour has access to the Blue lagoon through what you will need. Don’t forget it at home
Boots
The varied combination of Iceland’s terrain makes it a essential garment, a thick sole is recommended (boots professional level is not essential) to adjust our crampons during the glasiar hike.
