During this day-trip, you will be taken to the 3 most popular sites in the south coast of Iceland. The trip will start in Reykjavik, where we will pick you up and head towards the Friðheimar tomato farm.
In this famous tomato farm, they produce more than a ton of tomatoes a day! You will be able to try and buy some of their tomato-based products from their greenhouse and take a stroll through the thousand tomato plants! Next, the adventure continues, we will be going to Gullfoss, one of the most iconic waterfalls in the country which marks one of the three popular landmarks we are going to see today! From there, it’s only a short drive to see the wonders of the Geysir geothermal area, which marks popular site number 2. On our way, we will make a stop in Laugarvatn, where you will be able to observe how they bake bread using geothermal energy.
We will be having lunch here as well as being able to enjoy a relaxing bath in the Fontana geothermal baths, a recognized spa in the area. After a relaxing time in the spa, we drive to our famous Icelandic landmark number 3, the Þingvellir National Park. Þingvellir National Park has a huge historical place in the Icelandic culture and is a UNESCO listed site since 2004.
From this beautiful place, you will be able to observe the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates, as well as the mid-Atlantic ridge that is situated in between of these two plates. From there, it is a short trip back to the city, arriving in Reykjavík in the afternoon
